Amazing Peace Corps storyI had no idea what life was like in Romania, nor did I have any conception of what Romania was like behind the Iron Curtain. I had no knowledge or understanding of their Communist leader and his reign of terror. Lisa herself implemented many new ideas and different forms of teaching, caring and love. I encourage you to read her story and bask in her love for humanity! Excellent!

The author not only brings the reader along in her personal journey as a Peace Corps volunteer, but impressively educates the reader of the history and culture of Romania. In addition, the story is filled with humor, romance and inspiration as the author describes her daily adventures in a foreign country and her determination to make a "difference." An enjoyable and easy read!

The overall story/information was very interesting. The writing not so much.Knowing the author, I may have found the information more interesting, but if you like to read about Peace Corp experiences, these are probably worth a read.

I enjoyed this. Although she served in a totally different part of the world, over a decade after I did, a lot of her story resonated with me! If you like PC memoirs, give it a try.
