      This book is better than most when it comes to garbage truck related lit for children. For one thing, the book features a female driver. Most books about trucks only feature men with the occasional firefighter-with-pony-tail somewhere in the background. But the driver in this book is the star of the show, so to speak. Another thing I like is that it acknowledges recycling and includes it as a regular part of garbage day. Older books about garbage trucks don't deal with recycling and a lot of tim [...]

      Made the mistake of reading this to a very sleepy Vin. He was enjoying the book thoroughly one minute and sound asleep the next. He never naps, never has, so this was quite a surprise to us all. Mommy said she needs to buy this book, lol.

      Great explanation of the critical service of waste removal, though not every service uses separate trucks for garbage and recycling. Otherwise, does a decent job of bringing up alternatives to the presented workflow.

      Coale picked this book all on his own. It has a lovely colour scheme and excellent message. He was quiet and attentive when I read it to him. He has made real good progress this summer. Fortunately he returns to preschool in a week. =)
