5 stars – Paranormal Romance/Erotica/MénageI liked the first book Into the Mist just fine, but I enjoyed this second installment in Banks’s Falcon Mercenary Group paranormal erotica series even more. Into the Lair has extra action, lots of ass kicking, and waaay hotter sex, and the two heroes, brothers Ian and Braden, shift into sleek cats (a jaguar and a panther), which to me is a lot sexier than a guy turning into mist. This time around, the FMG sends Ian and Braden to the U.S. to extract [...]

i suppose if i were a girl on the run, my whole world crumbling around me, nothing would be more intriguing than being kidnapped by a pair of rough sex-loving were-panther brothers who only want to protect me, keep me captive, and double-team me too of course. isn't this every girl's dream come true? who needs independence with a couple of were-panthers around? freedom's just another word for nothing left to losei keep hoping the PNR genre will offer me some kind of a surprise in the way of, oh, [...]

Review for Into the Mist Book 1 of the Falcon Mercenary Group and this book Into the Lair book 2 of Falcon Mercenary Group. Note: These books are 1 and 2 of a series that the author for some reason decided not to continue and being that I found that out 1/2 way through the second book it did cast a shadow on my review and that took a star from both books. I listened to both books via audiobook and found the narrator acceptable to good. These books are based on a story of 2 paramilitary groups. I [...]

Continuing this series on audiobook, I listened to book 1 also. Just starting the book I can say the narrator is an issue. It is not the same as book 1, which is not always an issue for me unless there is a narrator change far into a series and I am already used to the voices. Issue 1 I have is this narrator is good during the dialogue parts, but for the narration she lacks any emotion and it is annoying. I get narration doesn't take on its own voice, but no need to be so robotic about it. I can [...]

While quite I liked this book, I kept wanting to deck Katie because she was driving me completely bonkers. I've never seen so much waffling between decisions in my life. I know why she was like this, but driving me mad is still driving me mad. The sudden romance between the trio bothered me some as Katie's side didn't entirely mesh with how her personality is to that point. Almost like delayed insta-love, I guess? Either way, it didn't mesh as well as Eli and Tyana's did for me in the first book [...]

I'm so disappointed as I usually like Maya Banks' books, but this one didn't work for me. I didn't care for the heroine, I found her way too aggressive even if I can understand her need to protect herself. What I didn't understand is her enjoying rough sex just after being stab in the belly. Most of the sex scenes seemed more painful than enjoyable, especially as they seem to go on and on with not much of tenderness but a lot of description of rough behavior. I was only thinking the heroine would [...]

3.5-4 starsAs the brothers, Ian and Braden, promised on Gabe's last breath to care for his sister, Katie. This promise has lead them into so much entanglements, pain, heartache, betrayal, entrapment and the ultimate, love. It's actually a very exciting, fun, erotic read with a decent plotbut it got little lengthy with the constant escaping. I wanted more depth, maybe I'm being too harsh and it should be more like a 4 stars. I mean, I did finished it in one weekend, so it's must have enthralled m [...]

i liked the first falcon book but i loved this one. i fell in love with all three of the main characters. katie was no slouch. she was one heck of a fighter not only for herself but for those she loved and was loyal to. the brothers were just something else. they flowed within the story at such a natural pace that you would never bat an eyelash at what they were doing along the way. i hope we get to see more of them at their home in future books. i decided i was not quite done with them.

Is Maya Banks still work for book 3? I can't wait to read it. Like seriously. Kind of wish there'll be Damiano's story. I love Braden and Ian. Don't you think a boyfriend who can turn into a big cat's kind of hot? ;)

(Explícito). Horrible.

Basically, because she has such low self esteem, sex has to be brutal for her to allow herself to enjoy it and the two guys she's with get to use her like a cheep whore but it's all ok because they care about her and she has lot of orgasmsease

    12. Xiamera on said:

Katie was annoying in the beginning, then she mellowed a bit too quickly for me and by the end I don't think there was a ton of character development there. Ian and Braden failed to impress me as heroes and as a whole I didn't care for these characters.

So this book is about Ian and Braden. They can both shift into animals after a science experiment gone wrong but neither of them can control their shifts. Ian and Braden searches for Katie who is the sister of their team mate who betrayed them. Both of them wants to use her as bait to catch Estaban, the man who turned them into unstable shifters, and find a cure.Katie is on the run from Ricardo de la Cruz and she is constantly looking over her shoulders. She killed his brother and now Ricardo wa [...]

I am so loving this series. Shifters are my favorite to read and I enjoy so much the different way Ms. Banks has given us these shifters. And the fact that they’re all alpha to the core doesn’t hurt one iota.Ian and Braden Thomas are brothers and part of the Falcon Mercenary Group which formed at the end of the first book in the series, Into the Mist, which I also reviewed. They, along with other members of their team, have been forced into their shifting lives when they were sprayed with a [...]

Wow!!! This book is uber hot in the second half!!! It almost drops the story, thankfully it picks things back up after a few very smexy chapters!!!! The story her continues after the first book left off. Yummy Ian and Braden are our heroes, that means menage. They are still having shifting issues and it gets worse when they meet Gabe's little sister Katie. They are a bit on the gruff side, perhaps there is a better way to approach the girl. The story has two major plots going on, first Katie alre [...]

This review was originally published on my Alaskan Bookie website at:alaskanbookie/review/into-My Review: This book mostly follows Katie as she is captured and escapes several people determined to capture her. Some want her to keep her safe, some want her to extract revenge, and another wants her as part of his experiment on human shapeshifters. Since she can’t tell who has her best interest at heart, she is determined to get away from all of them. This story also centers on the relationship be [...]

Into the Lair Narrated by Rebecca Estrella is good except the recording totally mispronounces the city name of CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO. Into the Lair continues the Falcon Mercenary Group series book #2. The main characters are Katie Buchanan, Ian Thomas, and Braden Thomas. Ian and Braden are exposed to a powerful chemical agent which causes these men to turn into large cats, a jaguar and panther. Eli and Gabe's shifting appears to be stable while Ian, Braden, and Damiano shifting is unstable and they [...]

Like "Into the Mist", this was just ok for me. This is the sequel to "Into the Mist". Ian & Braden are team-mates to Eli and their mission is find deceased team-mate Gabe's sister before enemy Esteban can.Little do they know that Katie has another bad guy after her. She's managed to get on the bad side of a drug runner because she killed his brother. Things I liked: This book flowed much better for me than "Into the Mist". Lots of action.Lots of attitude all around. Love me some snark. Katie [...]

Into the Lair is book 2 in Maya Banks’ paranormal Falcon Mercenary Group series following Into the Mist. In that book the FMG were betrayed by Gabe, the brother of Katie, who was doing his best to protect her from death threats if he did not. His dying plea to the FMG brothers Ian and Braden was to have them find and protect her. This story of shifters, Ian is a jaguar, and Braden is a tiger, who are having difficulties controlling when they shift potentially endangering their own team. I liked this one a lot more than the previous book, but I still didn't love it. I thought the plot was good, and Ian & Braden were the right mix of tough, capable heroes and vulnerable, uncertain, dangerous shifters. I had a harder time with Katie (although she was better than Tyana in the first book). She was alternately a tough, kick-ass, I can do anything woman and then vulnerable, wimpy and scared. I think she did well with the hand that was dealt her, but I never really felt her "capabl [...]

The continued story about Falcon Mercenary, brothers Ian and Braden promised Gabe, on his deathbed, that they would save his sister, who they knew nothing about. She´s on the run from a drug lord wanting revenge for the death of his brother, so when they show up, she´s not waiting for any explaination. Katie´s learned how to take care of herself and she sure give´s them a hard time before she starts to trust them. But of course, that´s when the trouble starts =). Esteban, the villain from t [...]

I definitely liked this book better than the last, but I thought it was choppy in the transitions.I really liked getting to know more about Ian and Braden, they were funny. I loved that Katie gave them a hard time and kept escaping from them. While she might not have Ty's skills, she was able to do some damage.I think where this story really started to shine was when the 3 of them really started to talk and when they didn't hold back their feelings. Yes, sex was a big part of it, but it wasn't t [...]

Even though this book has one of my least favoite plot lines I did enjoy it. There is a lot of action and some really smoking hot love scenes thoughout the story. Ms Banks is an outstanding writer with a very active imagination. You get to see more of the characters from the first story and of course you get to meet Gabe's sister Katie. These people love to bounce all over the world, going from one country to the next while trying to catch the bad guy. These books need to be read in other to und [...]
