Have you read this book? Could you possibly have any idea what is in store for you? The answer to both of these questions is probably "no," but if you're looking for a treat, if you're down in the dumps, if you need a friend, Michael Madsen will be there for you. (Yes, THAT Michael Madsen.) And always remember, we were once pope-less, but never hopeless.

Madsen can do the bad boy poet and it works. Compels comparisons to Bukowski, but only if Bukowski was a movie star and a family man. The contrast of bad boy and family man creates a nice full picture of someone dealing with life and its meanings in the oddly artificial world of Hollywood.

Stars: 5.0Michael Madsen is an actor who I haven’t met but feel as if I know because I’ve watched so many of his movies, read most of his books of poetry more than once and have been a card-carrying member of his fan club. That’s right, the handsome, raspy-voiced, squinty-eyed actor you’ve come to know through movies like Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill, The Getaway, Species, Free Willy and Donnie Brasco is actually a bona fide, bloody excellent poet! In fact, I reckon he’s like the Joe Strum [...]

Having stumbled across this book and thinking to myself, how interesting it is that one of most awesome bad guy actors Michael Madsen had written book of poetry. I must admit, that this book never once disappointed, in fact, I was very impressed. It was a beautiful mixture of learning about who Michael Madsen is and a lot about his past as written in poetry for. I found it to be very insightful and many of the poems were beautiful and very descriptive. I was really glad that I had found this tre [...]
