      I'm amazed at the variety of these stories,all mysteries written with one object---fish or cut bait (a big decision will affect the action for either good or bad). One of the twenty-two short stories is mine, so of course I like this book. However, as I read each one, I thought, "This is my favorite." Well, let's just say, I have 22 favorite reads.

      As I read the stories in this anthology from the Sisters in Crime Guppies, I felt proud to have a story among the 22 tales of murder and mayhem. While united by a common thread of a character who must make a momentous decision, the stories range far and near—from ancient China to contemporary U.S. towns, from the edges of the paranormal to stark realism.
