I'm the author so of course I'm going to rate my book a five star but that's not just because of partiality. It's really a five star read in my opinion and this particular story is one of my favorites. I'm really proud of it and I hope everyone else will enjoy Caecelia and Xenocrates' tale.

WE WERE FATED TO BE ONE, AND THAT MY SOUL’S TRUE MATE NOW FACED METhe story is an interesting fantasy tale that is full of mystery, suspense, secrets, lies, betrayal, murder, angst, anger, passion, and redemption. For Caecelia of House Servili, she was brought up in wealth, educated, and the daughter of a Senator. Her world will shatter when the enemy invades her homeland, killing, destroying, and kidnapping her and taking her from her home to a foreign land. The plot will have Caecelia confus [...]

Embracing his Empire is quite the creation!  It is hard for me to pinpoint really what kind of read it is.  If I had to narrow it down as far as which genre it belongs to, I would have to say a Paranormal, historical, romance.  While it ticks off all three of those genres, it isn't over the top in either area, making it quite enjoyable.  Sometimes when reading something that delves into the paranormal/sci-fi genres, I can get a little confused with all the details.  Sai Marie Johnson did a [...]

I liked this fantasy romance. Caecelia finds out her life may have been a big lie. Things between her and King Xenocrates start off a bit rough, but they are finally able to get past it and acknowledge their attraction and passion. The king has met his match! Lies, kidnapping, and action abound in this quick read. I enjoyed it, and if you like historically themed fantasy romance, you'll love this one! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I went into this book not knowing what to expect. This is a new to me author. It's a quick read. I was pleasantly surprised. It's a Sci-Fi romance but written like a historical romance. There was depth and the characters were relatable. The description of the world the author built I could see in my minds eye.Highly recommend this book.

Bringing out an element of raw attraction and romance in the middle of bloodshed and battle is no easy task but Sai Marie Johnson proves herself equivalent to the task when she handles the volatile relationship between Caecelia and Xenocrates with aplomb. The only thing I didn't care for too much was the concluding chapter, but the rest of the book is well written and has the necessary sizzling chemistry needed to hold your interest. The author paints Caecelia's character with great verve- a girl [...]

Intrigue and Romance Entwine to Captivate.Sai Marie Johnson weaves a tale of intrigue and romance that captivates you from the very beginning. Xenocrates and Caecelia did not meet under the most auspicious of circumstances; however, they were both still able to see the positives and strengths in one another. Caecelia is a feisty and strong-willed woman who learns that unbeknownst to her, she has been living a lie her whole entire life. Caecelia's attitude was portrayed beautifully and even thoug [...]

Embracing His Empire is the first novel I've read from Sai Marie Johnson. The work is best described as a fantasy in that she spends a great deal of time building this world and all its peculiarities. For fans of the genre, there will be very familiar concepts at play the fiery, virginal maiden and the dominate, virile man intent on taming her with a mix of tenderness and discipline. The main characters are fleshed out but there were times I had trouble understanding their behaviors. Overall a g [...]

In Empire and Embraces is perfect for an afternoon read. I was captivated by the storyline and enjoyed being taken to this romantic place and time. The characters were strong and the relationship between Cecelia and Xenocrates was well developed, as well as, spirited. I look forward to reading more from this author.

What do you do when your whole life was a lie? I just don't and can't believe it. How do I move on? And who is this man that says I am already promised to marry? Wonderful book. Love the tour.

I really enjoyed this blended historical fiction and romance. It's a tale of fates entwined and how despite all the world throws at them to keep them apart they find each other in the end. The plot is great and the characters are well developed, especially Sass, the protagonist and her male counterpart.
