I must confess, I have mixed feelings about this collection of short stories. There are a few well crafted entries for sure ( deserving of 4 starts), but many seemed to fall short of the mark. Several weeks have passed since I finished the book, and I am having difficulty recalling the plot of the stories I enjoyed… Tartarus Press has set a high bar, but this collection did not meet my expectations.

An excellent collection of stories from Owen. The stories did seem to get a little tiring after a while as they were all about 4-5 pages. I'd definitely be interested in reading more from Owen. I'd definitely recommend this volume to fans of Belgian Weird Fiction. White did an amazing job with the translation as the collection is very readable.
